Duke von Dulmen is a beautiful 4-5 year old German Shepherd who is Mr. Congenial in canine playgroups, entering confidently and socializing with all the other dogs.  He’s good walking outside on a leash, too, only pulling occasionally if he gets excited about something he sees.  Our kennel techs describe Duke as a “handsome, loving and goofy boy.”  Let’s not judge a book by its cover though because, as approachable as this guy appears, people need to pass inspection with him before he accepts them, which means his owner will be well protected inside the home or walking alone outside.  Once properly introduced and feeling comfortable, Duke switches into his love gear and becomes very affectionate.  This medium-energy boy is housebroken and behaves himself when alone in the house or yard.  And did we mention that he is good with cats?
